10/09 Thatcham Marsh LNR

Location: Thatcham Marsh LNR
Session: 10-Sep-2017 06:45 to 11:30hrs
Headlines: A good capture probably would have been more if the full reed bed ride nets had been erected. This year's visit is similar to the matching 2016 visit except the latter had more acrocephalus warblers; confirming that 2017 birds have left earlier than they did last year. Notes short as I couldn't make this session.
Weather: Breeze early, overcast later
Present: IW, DL, JHW
Nets: 138M; one  reed bed ride of 108M, two scrub rides of 18M and 12M up from 07: 15 to 11:00hrs
Lure (Audio): Blackcap, Chiffchaff, Goldcrest, Firecrest plus others
