Session:
Headlines: Very spring like
early and several birds were singing on territory. This probably explains why
we did not capture any Blue and Great Tits until after 09:00hrs; 20 after
10:25hrs. The early captures consisted of the Long-tailed Tits, three
Goldfinches, two Nuthatches and a Coal Tit. Recaptures were few compared to the
last visits at the Greenham and Snelsmore Feeders. The regulars appear to stay
away probably remained on territory and came for a feed later in the day. An influx
of new birds today at this feeder possibly indicates birds beginning to move spurred
into action by the mild weather.
