Session:
Headlines: An additional visit
to the feeder as we had made visit 5 earlier in the week as a banker to the possibility of unsuitable weather. Additional nets were erected in scrub near the cow paddock,
in gorse scrub to the west of the compound and “over the other side” of the
car park entrance. The activity at this feeder has been dropping off since the
beginning of the year and it was particularly slow today. A good variety of
species made up for the lack of numbers. A new Marsh Tit, the first Redwing of
the year and the 6+ year old Dunnock are probably the highlights

Sightings 34 Species: the best for
me, a New Year tick: 60+ Golden Plover over north, otherwise not much flying
about (this is getting a bit too repetitive)
