07/02 Snelsmore Feeder

Location: Snelsmore Feeder visit 07 of 10
Session: 07-Feb-2018 07:45 to 11:20hrs
Headlines: Quite cold this morning but warmed a little as the morning progressed. A steady stream of birds came to the feeder. We had one round of six otherwise twos and threes each time. Many were feeding in the tree tops or singing. Compared to last winter’s equivalent there was better variety and Blue Tit numbers were up. The number captured is relatively good for this winter and mid-range of the total expected in recent years.
Weather: Cold, sunny, calm
Present: JL, IW
Nets: 12mteres one 6M net each side of feeders up 08:00 to 11:00hrs
Lure (feeders): fat-balls, niger, black sunflower, peanuts
